Ownership and Experience

Predator is managed by Mr. Lowell K. Martin (“L.K.”) who has over 36 years of experience as an industrial electrician and Mr. Alan Starr Martin who has over 16 years of professional construction experience and over 10 years of experience performing pipeline and structural integrity investigations and corrosion control design, installation and testing. The following is an abbreviation of Alan and L.K. Martin’s work experience:

Alan is Predators General Manager. Alan began professional construction at age 17 working as an iron worker and rigger contractor at one of the nations major syngas facilities located in Longview Texas.  Alan worked in oil and gas exploration and production for five years drilling oil and gas wells throughout Texas and Western Louisiana.  Alan is a graduate of Kilgore College, Cathodic Protection Corrosion Technology Program and a NACE Certified Corrosion Technologist.  After graduation Alan began working in Houston, TX as a corrosion technician performing pipeline integrity investigations, external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA) & cathodic protection installations and surveys for various oil and gas clients throughout Texas. 

Departing Houston Alan began working in San Diego, CA managing and performing cathodic protection surveys and construction projects for fuel piping networks at various military installations throughout the world.  In addition to military contracting Alan performed multiple surveys and installations for various water utilities throughout the South Western United States including Las Vegas Water District and San Diego Water Authority. 

Leaving San Diego, Alan accepted a project management position in New York, NY.  Alan was involved with several major, multibillion dollar infrastructure projects.  During his tenure in N.Y. Alan managed many cathodic protection design and installation projects including:  N.Y. Dept. of Environmental protection, Catskill Water Treatment Plant,  and NY & NJ MTA East Side Access Project.  Alan's most notable project was the design and testing of cathodic protection systems and stray current test station surveys for the New World Trade Center.

Predator’s majority owner and CEO is L.K. Martin.  L.K. earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree in Industrial Technologies from The University of Texas in 1978.  L.K. is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force ground power school, the Dale Carnegie business course and has received numerous military and civilian accolades throughout his career.

L.K. began his career in the steel foundry and steel mill business in 1976 as an electrician performing all aspects of electrical maintenance for power and power control components designed for the production of heavy industrial steel products and specialty tubing and piping products such as those manufactured for the oil and gas industry.

L.K. is a veteran of the Vietnamese war and was deployed with the 65th combat support group to Pleiku, Vietnam from April 1968 to April 1969.  L.K. is a service disabled veteran of the Vietnamese war and is the majority owner and director for Predator.

After a dynamic career in corrosion control and infrastructure integrity assessment and an extensive career in industrial electrical maintenance respectfully; Alan and his father L.K. formed Predator Corrosion Control in order to serve private industriesgovernment, and the general public utilizing over 50 years of expertise in electrical, corrosion control and infrastructure integrity preservation technologies.
